rastafari economic development

marcus mosiah garvey must be feeling very satisfied and osagyefo dr nkrumah must be feeling gratified...reason being that decades after these illustrious africans worked with the idea of a vehicle to facilitate the economic development of our people, a team of enterprising brethren have taken up the idea and are working with the black star line.
the black star line credit union established by the rastafari council, ghana has registered 100 members in its run up to the launch of the organisation.
membership spans indigenous ghanaians and brethren from the diaspora. it also has members registered from around the world

the return of okomfo kwaadee

the return of okomfo kwaadee
mia mi nie okomfo si koo, lol....omg it was definitely electric
the much heralded return of okomfo kwaadee lived up to its billing. following all the stories about okomfo's health et al, his fans had no other option than to go check him out fiili fiili.
to appreciate the reborn okomfo kwaadee, then you must be a student of history of some sorts or have gone through the transformations of sexual life, at least two stages to know that libido wanes and strength fades but it can be replaced by experience and skills.
and thats exactly what kwaadee did... the speed of a sarkodie was not what he came to display nor the energetic style of a samini or the choreographed moves of okyeame kwame, no!!! kwaadee came up to display such an understanding of live band performance that he slowed down his tunes and did them in cool style.
tunes from his previous era were given a fresh rendition with an eight piece band led by ace sound engineer, kwik action.
joined by his compatriots obuor, okyeame kwame, kk fosu and sammi b, kwaadee showed that he could still rock the show... other brothers who performed including samini, madfish and ayigbe edem.
like i said, kwaadee had to rely on his depth of lyrical experience to groove through the night. at some moments one could tell that the four year hiatus had taken its toll both with his recollection of the lyrics of some of the tunes and i reckon that accounted for the seamless way kwik action and his team of session men played the show and mind you i didn't say songs, ok....
i'm sure abraham and the om team know exactly what to do to get kwaadee back in championship form and shape....to do a boxing analogy, tonite brought back memories of a great fighter who has returned into the ring after a long layoff, he would display flashes of brilliance but his rustiness will still show.
there's work to be done on the artiste if he is to regain his former status as the undisputed story telling king of hiplife. to the om crew i say one big congratulations for the faith you've had in our man, eric and co, JAH bless
anyways jerry anaba aka jj aka okomfoo kwaadee, welcome back and i got ya back and may the good LORD JEHOVAH EL SHADDAI guide and protect you now and for iver more
